We\u2019re building something exciting from the ground up\u2014and we\u2019re looking for a trainer who wants to grow with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for a passionate basketball trainer to join our team at CAN Sports Center. This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity for someone who has played at the Canadian university level, NCAA, or higher\u2014and is eager to grow into a long-term coaching role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position will begin on a casual to part-time basis, with flexible training sessions. As demand increases, there is strong potential for expanded hours and leadership responsibilities. If you have a strong feel for the game, a teacher\u2019s mindset, and the ability to connect with players, we want to hear from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead skill development sessions focused on fundamentals, game IQ, and player growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build positive relationships with players and parents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the growth and structure of the basketball program over time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with the coaching team to ensure a consistent and professional training environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience playing basketball at the university or professional level (U Sports, NCAA, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and player development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and leadership skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passion for teaching and inspiring young athletes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to commit to part-time sessions with potential to grow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coaching experience is an asset, but not mandatory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Job Type<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Part-time position with flexible hours during weekday evenings and\/or weekends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Compensation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compensation to be discussed based on experience and availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-73ec0b3e gb-headline-text\"><strong>Contact Us<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Send your resume to: basketball@cansportscenter.com<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join Can Sports Center and Help Us Build a Thriving Sports Community in the GTA!
