Terms and Conditions
For Annual and Monthly Memberships:
➢ Are NOT Transferable
➢ Are NOT eligible to place on Hold
➢ Membership Card must be shown to enter, $5 replacement fee if not presented
➢ Courts are to be shared
➢ Payment Terms: Memberships are non-refundable.
➢ No refunds will be given once admission fee has been processed
➢ One entry per day only.
➢ The center has all the rights to interpret the above terms and conditions.
Cancellation Policy:
➢ Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will receive credit for future bookings, or get a refund ($50 processing fee will be charged).
➢ Cancellations made on the same day will not receive any credit or refund.
General rules
➢ No smoking, including e-cigarettes, in the facility.
➢ Pets are not allowed in the facility
➢ Only Can Sports Center staff are authorized to conduct personal training
For Badminton & Basketball Private Lessons:
1. All courses are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. To cancel a class, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations on the same day will result in the session being forfeited.
3. The sports center is not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the use of facilities or participation in activities.
4. If the sports center needs to change the scheduled class time, parents or students will be notified in advance. Otherwise, classes will proceed at the originally scheduled times. Holidays and festivals are included; absences will be handled according to the normal procedure.
5. The sports center will assign an appropriate private coach based on the student’s level. In cases where the coach leaves or is on leave, the sports center reserves the right to substitute with another coach of the same level.
6. Private lessons must be booked in blocks of 10 sessions. There are no additional discounts, and payment is required before the start of classes.

7. Trial Lessons: During the trial phase, students/parents may purchase only one trial lesson, with payment required 24 hours in advance of the trial lesson. The trial lesson fee may be applied to the purchase of the 10-session package. (Note: If dissatisfied and needing to change coaches for another trial, a fee will be required for the subsequent trial lesson.) If a student pays for the trial lesson but fails to attend, the trial lesson fee will not be refunded or converted into credits.
8. No other students are allowed in the class except the registered student.
9. In the event of an emergency (e.g., student illness), a doctor’s note must be provided. Otherwise, the student will be considered present for the class, and the session will be deducted.
10. If a student withdraws mid-course, the tuition fees can only be converted into credit for the student’s account.
11. During classes, parents should wait outside the facility. For any issues or teaching suggestions, please contact the front desk or discuss them with the coach after class.
12. Subject changes without notice.

For Badminton & Basketball Group Lessons
1. All courses are non-refundable and non-transferable.
2. The sports center is not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the use of facilities or participation in activities.
3. If the sports center needs to change the scheduled class time, parents or students will be notified in advance. Otherwise, classes will proceed at the originally scheduled times. Holidays and festivals are included; absences will be handled according to the normal procedure.
4. To cancel a class, please notify the front desk at least 24 hours before the class starts. Failure to do so will be considered as attendance, and make-up classes will not be permitted.
5. In the event of an emergency (e.g., student illness), a doctor’s note must be provided. Otherwise, the student will be considered present for the class, and the course fee will be charged as usual.
6. The level of group classes cannot be self-designated. Coaches will arrange appropriate classes based on the student’s level, which must be assessed by the center’s coaches (quick test).
7. Coaches have the authority to group students during classes, and parents may not interfere.
8. Group class packages must be used within the specified time frame. If make-up classes are not completed before the end date, they will be forfeited, and no make-ups will be provided.
9. Discounts on group classes apply only to the purchase of an entire term of group training courses. If joining midway through the term, no discounts will be offered, and the full term fee must be paid (calculated at the single class rate).
10. Group classes are only available to students under the age of 22. Course prices are listed on the price chart and must be paid before the start of classes.
11. Trial Lessons: For the first trial lesson, only one session may be purchased, with payment required before the trial begins. If satisfied with the trial, the fee may be applied to future course purchases (Note: If dissatisfied and needing to change levels for another trial, a fee will be required for the subsequent trial lesson).
12. The packages and slots reserved for group classes cannot be transferred to others or shared with other students.
13. To ensure student levels and teaching progress, HP students are required to enroll in three sessions per week, while Team A students must enroll in two sessions per week.
14. Make-up classes for group courses must be completed before the end of the term. Please notify the front desk 24 hours before the make-up class.
15. After the term ends, any uncompleted or missed classes will not be offered as make-ups or converted to credit (missed classes due to tournaments or center-related cancellations may be converted to credit).
16. If withdrawing mid-course, tuition fees can only be converted to credit in the student’s account.
17. During classes, parents should wait outside the facility. For any issues or teaching suggestions, please contact the front desk or discuss with the coach after class.
18. All coaching arrangements are determined by the center’s coaching team, with no further notifications provided.
19. A free team uniform will be provided with group class enrollment.
20. Team players must be full members of CAN Sports Center.
21. Team players must agree to represent CAN Sports Center at all tournaments.
22. Players must follow the CAN Sports Center rules.
23. CAN Sports Center reserves the right to suspend a player from the team if they violate the team rules set out by CAN Sports Center or coaches.
24. Students must treat each other with respect and to foster a supportive learning environment. Any form of physical violence (including but not limited to fighting, pushing, threatening, etc.) is strictly prohibited and will result in suspension.
25. During training sessions, our team may take photos or videos. The gym reserves the right to use all photos and videos taken within this activity area and retains the right to use the images of those captured.
26. Can Sports Center reserves the right to make final interpretations of these terms.
Badminton and Basketball Court Rental:
➢ For badminton court cancellations, 24-hour notice is required. Cancellation of more than
3 courts requires 3 days notice for refunds. Similar terms apply to basketball court
cancellations: 24 hours for half court, 3 days for full court.
➢ Full payment is due at the time of reservation.
➢ Proper badminton or basketball shoes must be worn; otherwise, court access is denied.
➢ The center is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages during facility use or
activities.
➢ Maximum capacity: 6 people per badminton court; 7 for half basketball court, 15 for full
basketball court.
➢ Only rented courts are accessible, even if others are unused.
➢ No private lessons or multi-ball training allowed.
➢ No food or drinks on courts to maintain cleanliness.
➢ Change shoes in the designated area before entering the facility.
➢ Court rentals are for recreational use only; contact the center in advance for events or
competitions.
➢ Lost items are kept for two weeks; unclaimed items will be cleared.
Drop-in Policy:
➢ Drop-in play is open to players of all skill levels
➢ A court will be shared among 6-8 people during busy hours, rotate among yourselves. Drop-in is not allowed for two people to practice on one court or for one-on-one singles. If drop-in is full, no entry will be allowed.
➢ Stay on the courts designated for dorp-in
- Drop-in requires sharing the court with other guests, with alternating use. Court hogging is not allowed.
- Each drop-in court can be shared by up to 8 guests, with 4 people playing on the court at a time.
- Drop-in participants are required to play two games of 21-point doubles matches each time they are on the court. Afterward, they must vacate the court for other guests to play.
- If guests do not wish to play a match, they may rally with each other for 15 minutes (with 4 people), after which they must leave the court for others.
- Guests may play singles if the drop-in courts are unoccupied.
- Personal multi-ball training and private coaching are not allowed on drop-in courts.
- Drop-in court availability is limited, and reservations are not accepted. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis (this also applies to drop-in members).
- In case of full capacity, the facility will limit the entry of guests.
- The facility reserves the right to decide whether to open additional drop-in courts based on the number of participants.
➢ When there are people waiting:
➢ Players are expected to have good sportsmanship including respect for others, proper
language, and adherence to rules
➢ CAN badminton reserves the right to interpret and apply this policy as deemed
necessary to ensure fair and safe play. Any decisions made by the staff in this regard are
final.
➢ The club is not responsible for any injury, losses and damage incurred during the use of
facilities or participation in activities
➢ In case of a mid-term refund, the used time will be calculated at the single session daily rate, and the remaining amount after deducting the used portion will be refunded.
Fitness Policy:
➢ Under 16 years old must be with supervision trainers, coaches or parents waiver form.
➢ Minimum age of 13.
➢ Are NOT Transferable
➢ Are NOT eligible to place on hold

Camps:
➢ Students can choose any two courses as their weekly activities, such as A+B, B+C.
➢ Once combinations are confirmed, changes are not allowed.
➢ Different activities each day are not accepted.
➢ Each selection consists of 3 hours of activities.
➢ All courses are non-refundable, non-cancellable, and absences will not be made up.
➢ Lunch fees must be paid in full along with the courses and are non-refundable for any
reason after payment.
➢ All courses are booked weekly; daily or half-day bookings are not accepted.
➢ Promotions must be used within the specified timeframe; no discounts will be given after
expiration.
CAN SPORTS CENTER WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
IMPORTANT NOTICE: READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.
This Waiver and Release of Liability (“Agreement”) is entered into between Can Sports Center (“Facility”) and the undersigned customer or participant (“Participant”). By signing this Agreement, the Participant acknowledges the inherent risks associated with the use of the sports facilities and equipment provided by Can Sports Center.
**1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK**
The Participant understands and agrees that engaging in sports activities, fitness exercises, or using any equipment at Can Sports Center carries certain inherent risks that may result in serious injury, illness, or even death. These risks include, but are not limited to, muscle strains, sprains, broken bones, cardiovascular complications, concussions, and other physical injuries.
The Participant acknowledges that they have been informed of the risks associated with the activities offered by Can Sports Center and voluntarily assumes all such risks.
**2. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY**
In consideration of being allowed to use the facilities and equipment at Can Sports Center, the Participant agrees to waive, release, and discharge Can Sports Center, its owners, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any nature, including, but not limited to, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage, arising out of or in any way connected with the Participant’s use of the facilities and equipment.
This waiver and release shall be binding upon the Participant, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
**3. INDEMNIFICATION**
The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Can Sports Center, its owners, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of the Participant’s use of the facilities and equipment, or any breach of this Agreement.
**4. MEDICAL CLEARANCE**
The Participant represents and warrants that they are in good health and have no physical or medical condition that would prevent safe participation in the activities offered by Can Sports Center. The Participant is strongly encouraged to consult with a physician before engaging in any physical activity.
**5. GOVERNING LAW**
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario, Canada.
**6. ENTIRE AGREEMENT**
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior discussions, agreements, or understandings of any kind.
**7. SEVERABILITY**
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
**BY AGREEING BELOW, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT. I AM SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT VOLUNTARILY
Entry into the facility implies agreement with these terms. CAN SPORTS CENTER reserves the right to interpret
these terms and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
